The man mechanic emoji is used to represent mechanics, trade and repairmen. He’s easily identifiable as he is holding a metal wrench in his hand. Depending on the version used, he is wearing an orange or blue shirt and is often depicted wearing orange or blue overalls or dungarees. On platforms which support the feature, his hair and skin tone can be modified to one of five additional shades. As well as being used to specifically refer to mechanics, this emoji is very commonly used when referring to the need to get something fixed, for example: “Landlord will be here at 3pm to fix air-con 👨🔧”.
